Before I ever poured my first candle, God placed something on my heart: “Share your light.” At the time, I didn’t understand what He meant. I was in the middle of my battle with thyroid cancer, tired, afraid, and trying to hold on to faith. But those words wouldn’t leave me.While I was still fighting, I started making my own candles. It became therapy, a moment of peace when everything else felt uncertain. Each one reminded me that even when life feels dark, God’s light never fades.
When I learned I had beat thyroid cancer, I knew exactly what He meant. I was supposed to share that light with others. That’s when I officially launched BeYOUtifully Konstructed Essence, a name that symbolized how we are all uniquely made and beautifully whole, even through our brokenness.
Just two weeks later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. But this time, I didn’t face it with fear, I faced it with faith. I made candles for my entire care team at Mercy Hospital as my way of saying thank you and trusting that God would work through their hands.
The day of my surgery, one of my nurses had one of my candles open, not even lit, in the operating room. When I woke up, I had dozens of orders waiting for me. That was my confirmation: this wasn’t just a business. It was purpose.
Every candle became a prayer, hand-poured with faith, love, and intention. BeYOUtifully Konstructed Essence was where strength and healing came together, the season where God taught me that when He tells you to share your light, He’ll make sure it reaches exactly who needs it.

After everything I’d been through, I thought BeYOUtifully Konstructed Essence was the story, but it was only the beginning. As I continued to heal, God began to reveal more. He showed me that what started as obedience was always meant to evolve into something deeper, something personal.
Through every season of pain, recovery, and reflection, I grew closer to Him and closer to myself. I began to understand that my candles weren’t just products, they were vessels of peace, healing, and restoration. They carried my prayers, my faith, and my story in every single pour.
One day, God made it clear: “It’s time to put your name on it.” And that’s how Scentserely, Tenille was born.
This rebrand wasn’t about changing direction, it was about stepping fully into purpose. It was me owning my story, my light, and my calling. These candles are still made with the same love and intention, but now they carry the heart behind it...mine.
Scentserely, Tenille is more than a candle brand. It’s a reminder that light lives within us all, even when life tries to dim it. It’s for the survivor finding their way, the caregiver who gives endlessly, and the person who’s still learning to rest, heal, and believe again.
